Project Engineer

Job Description:

A Project Engineer is the person-in-charge of the contracts management, implementation, inspection, quality checking, materials management and monitoring of Housing Units Construction of a specifically assigned project.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible in the implementation and completion of all work items relative to housing construction, including billings related to housing (extra depth, windows, etc.) in accordance with the approved plans, specifications, target schedules, as per given budget and above acceptable quality.
  • Initiate requests and advise in cases of concerns and other related matters of the housing construction requiring consent and/or recommendations of the Project Manager.
  • Ensure that policies relating to construction procedures are properly implemented to the construction of housing units before and during the duration of the entire project.
  • Prepare quality estimate of a certain work item particularly on additional works or change order under his jurisdiction of assignment.
  • Prepare weekly accomplishment report detailing status update of housing construction of assigned project.
  • Actual inspection and evaluation of housing contractors progress billings and final billing for ongoing and completed work items
  • Responsible in maintaining proper housekeeping and safety on all ongoing housing construction of assigned project as well as completed projects under his jurisdiction
  • Coordinate with other department under the construction division to ensure proper interfacing of activities
  • Responsible in the supervision of his subordinates
  • Ensure that all concerns and defects requiring rectification effort on all areas of housing construction and those scheduled for inspection are properly documented, rectified and addressed before the scheduled inspection.
  • Provide advice to the Area Manager and Division Head on all documentation requirements prior to the commencement of a certain batch in the housing construction
  • Initiate coordination with estate management, regarding inspection and punch listing of all housing units completed with Approved Notice for take-out
  • Report directly to the Project Manager
  • Other responsibilities or scope of work that may be assigned by the Construction Head and the Chairman of the Board from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Civil Engineer
  • With a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Willing to be assigned in Tanza and Naic, Cavite
  • With at least two (2) years of experience in a related role
