Legal Secretary/Assistant

Duties & Responsibilities include;

  • Provide the requisite administrative support for the Department in order for it to effectively render legal services to the Company’s several units, the executive office and the OTC;
  • Maintain a calendar of all hearings and meetings of the Department members, including that of the Head and the Vice President, and monitor the same;
  • Receive, endorse to the Legal Officer and/or Head, and monitor the queries and concerns of the other units of the Company addressed to the Department;
  • Organize and keep updated the case files and other portfolios handled by the Department;
  • Ensures that the calendar and transaction bulletin of the Department are updated and met;
  • Check government websites and publications for regulatory updates;
  • Coordinate with other units of the Company regarding concerns and inquiries of Department members in relation to said units work/process etc.;
  • Prepare presentation materials for regulatory updates and training of pertinent Company personnel;
  • Assist in drafting and/or filing/transmitting of pleadings, letters and other communications to third parties;
  • Assist the Legal Officer and Head in any task of the Department; and
  • Other tasks which may be assigned from time to time by the Legal Officer, the Head, the Vice President and/or the Office of the Chairman.

Qualifications:

  • With a Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business, Communications, Public Relations/Political Science, Legal Management or other related field; and
  • With experience of at least one year in a related role.
